Water Aid Poster Analysis:
The water aid advert communicates meaning through written media codes, using big texts and a bold font to convey their main message. The big, white words that stand out to us is "Dig Toilets, Not graves." Through this we can infer that children are dying of water due to a water crisis, and they bring attention that we should be building the community, instead of letting it die. Additionally, there is a picture of a young boy who expression is quite serious and somber, which gives us the idea that young children are in the graves mentioned in the text.
Sustainable fashion advert:
This fashion advert sends a strong meaning through the message on the advert, using a bold message to get straight through to the viewer. It features a image of a fashionable model in a coat, using the words "This trench coat is 30 years old." to catch the viewers attention, then your eye naturally drifts down to see, "Buy clothes that will last longer than trends. Be older." This supports and encourages buying sustainable clothes, which is a large issues due to fast fashion and many popular influences shaping how younger generations view clothes.
